IEEE CMPT France ESTC Conference Sept 13-16 in Grenoble

The 6th edition of the Electronics System Technology Conference (ESTC) will be held at the World Trade Center in Grenoble, France from September 13-16, 2016. Registration and program information are on conference website The event will feature five keynote addresses, five tutorials, over 140 conference papers and posters in 32 technical sessions, with participants coming from 28 different countries. There will also be three special session and a vendor exhibition with 40 exhibitors.


For the 6th edition of ESTC, the keynote addresses will focus on IoT and integration. Thomas Ernst, Scientific Director for Devices and Technologies Division of CEA LETI, will present the first keynote “Heterogeneous integrated systems and technologies for IoT.Laurent Herard, corporate vice-president of packaging and automation from ST, will deliver the second keynote “IoT: Roles, opportunity and challenges for IC packaging design and manufacturing”. The third keynote, “SiP Takes the Stage: Unveiling the power of heterogeneous integration,” will be given by Richard Rice, senior vice-president of business development from ASE. For the fourth keynote, Dr. Franck Murray, CEO of IPDIA will present “Passive integration challenges for the IoT.” The final keynote entitled “2.5D and 3D-Based Interconnect and Integration Technologies for Electronics and Bioelectronic Microsystems” will be given by Dr. Muhannad Bakir of Georgia Tech, USA.

The conference will also feature three special sessions. First, iNEMI will officiate a roundtable discussion on automotive electronics with participants coming from different areas of the automotive supply chain. Second, the IEEE CPMT Women’s Panel will host a reception and discussion: “Maximize Your Career Success”. The third event will be a workshop organized by IEEE/CPMT, focusing on the ITRS 2.0 heterogeneous integration technology roadmap.
