LG electronics to start selling world’s first rollable TV overseas in April

LG Electronics is set to launch the LG Signature OLED R, the world’s first rollable TV, in overseas markets.

The company releases the rollable TV worldwide about five months after its debut in Korea in late October 2020.

As online sales are on the rise amid the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the new TV model is highly likely to be sold online overseas. Through online channels, orders can be placed anywhere. The LG Signature OLED R TV is produced in Korea. LG Electronics is likely to receive orders through online channels and deliver the TV from Korea.

The rollable TV costs a whopping 100 million won. As interest in the model has been growing since its appearance at CES 2019, demand for the product is expected to strong, although customers do not have an opportunity to see it in person.

The LG Signature OLED R targets the highest-end consumers. The size of the screen is 65 inches. Its OLED display consists of pixels that emit light on their own. It retails at 100 million won in Korea.
