Plastic Omnium wins a PACEPilot Award for its 4D imaging radar. The PACEPilot Award recognizes pre-commercial or post-pilot innovations in the field of future mobility. It acknowledges products, processes, software or IT systems that have the potential to revolutionize an automaker’s business.

This new 4D imaging radar improves driving safety, allowing the driver to anticipate better. This is a breakthrough innovation for exterior body parts. Plastic Omnium has developed this new 4D imaging radar in collaboration with the French start-up Greenerwave. Designed with deep technology, also known as “deep tech”, it is a scalable, multi-mode radar.

This innovation prefigures the safer and more connected car of the future. Indeed, vehicles have gone from being mere means of transportation to becoming real data centers. This evolution requires increased detection tools.This complex outdoor system aims to offers unrivalled imaging performance over large fields of view.
