Safran announced Monday an investment of 120 million euros to expand and modernize its Montluçon site, located in central France.
This project aims to triple the production of its hemispherical resonant gyroscopes (HRG), increasing it from 10,000 units per year currently to 30,000 per year by 2032, the engine and aerospace equipment manufacturer said in a statement.
“These navigation systems, used particularly in aeronautics, defense and missiles, are benefiting from increasing demand in a context of increasingly frequent GPS signal jamming,” Invest Securities explained in a note on Monday.
For Exail Technologies, “this announcement is a positive element as it confirms the growth dynamic of the market, a segment which represents approximately 40% of the group’s revenues and results,” adds the financial intermediary.
