Next-Gen Flash 2026 - Future of NAND and NOR

NAND flash growth drivers are shifting from consumer markets toward data-center requirements driven by AI inference and data-intensive workloads. To sustain cost and performance scaling, next-generation NAND is undergoing major architectural changes, including CMOS Bonded Array (CBA) designs, higher 3D stacking, and the adoption of penta-level cell (PLC) technologies. New use cases are also opening the door to High-Bandwidth Flash (HBF), bringing flash closer to compute in future AI systems.
