Semicon Taiwan 2021

SEMICON Taiwan 2021: Dec 28-30 Physical Exhibition? Sep 7, 2021 – Jan 31, 2022 Program!

“SEMICON Taiwan 2021: Forward as One.” sets to be a prolonging and more comprehensive experience this year. Starting from September, five online technology forums will be held as a prelude to the physical exhibition scheduled to begin by the end of the year. The online forums are open for registration from today with early bird discounts available before the end of August.

SEMI’s goal is ‘Forward as One.’ We will continue to move forward with the semiconductor industry by providing professionals within the global supply chain a three-month-long online and offline exhibition experience. The new experience is to let online forums go first and the physical exhibition comes second. SEMI aims to provide the most internationalized and the only professional semiconductor exhibition platform in Taiwan, to promote technology exchange and development, and to position the semiconductor industry as a driver that spearheads the progress of industries in Taiwan.

Abstract: Despite a troubled period, MEMS market continues to show signs of strength. While we expected a slight negative impact for MEMS in 2020 due to the associated weak end-systems demand (especially smartphones and cars), MEMS sensors recovered during second half of 2020, when manufacturers resumed refilling their inventories after visible signs of stabilization and recovery in key end markets. The MEMS device market eventually reached $12.1B, up more than 2% from the year earlier.
After a weak 2019 and 2020, the market is expected to grow by 11% in 2021, reaching $13.4B. Beyond 2021, a high-single digit growth will rise annual MEMS revenue to $18.2B by 2026.
In this presentation we will go through how this promised growth could be delivered by new emerging technologies and opportunities spanning from pMUT and cMUT devices to inertial and microphones for True Wireless Stereo (TWS) and other wearables to optical MEMS in AR/VR & LIDAR… and more interesting trends.
