It will take place on September 6, 2018 in Shenzhen, alongside the 20th CIOE. This event presents applications and technologies within the LiDAR industry, and more specifically automotive-oriented solutions.
Today, LiDAR is a key technology for redundant sensing, supporting cameras and radars with object recognition, distance estimation and 3D mapping. LiDAR offers high-resolution cloud-point images serving as a key to the development of automated driving technology, especially robotics cars. This development is happening now, and is the first step to the disruption of the transportation market. Many small- and medium-sized enterprises and start-ups have entered the race for this multi-billion dollar market while. Likewise, many competing technologies are still under development. From mechanical, MEMS-based approaches to solid-state devices, the variety of technologies is broad and the future of LiDAR is still undetermined.
