Dr. Hai Ding

Dr. Ding now serves as VP of InnoLight Technology Pte. Limited.
Born in 1970, Dr. Ding received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering, an MSc in Electronic Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a BSc in Optical Instrumentation from Tsinghua University.
Dr. Ding is a recognized expert in semiconductor packaging. He started his career at the spectrometer manufacturer Baird Corporation as an optical engineer. After his PhD, he joined the Assembly Technology Development of Intel Corporation, where he was a senior substrate engineer and later a core competency manager. He received the Intel Achievement Award twice and he owns two US patents. He now serves as VP of InnoLight Technology Pte. Limited.

Kavitha Buddharaju is the Senior Director of Business Development & Marketing and one of the Co-Founders of Advanced Micro Foundry Pte Ltd (AMF) where she is responsible for developing strategic partnerships and expanding the reach of Silicon Photonics.
Prior to joining AMF, she held various Technical and Business Development roles at the Institute of Micro Electronics (IME) She holds a M.S in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University.
Dr. LUO Xianshu
Principal Scientist, Institute of Microelectronics, A*STAR
Xianshu Luo received the PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Hong Kong, in 2010. He then joined Institute of Microelectronics (IME), Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore, as a Research Scientist, where he engaged inss research on silicon photonic integrated circuits (Si-PIC), heterogeneous integration of optoelectronic integrated circuits (H-OEIC). In 2017, he joined Advanced Micro Foundery, as a Co-Founder and Research Director, with researches for advanced silicon photonics development and device performance advancement. He returned to IME, A*STAR as a Principal Scientist in 2023, leading the development of advanced photonics technology and related applications.
Dr. Luo is a Fellow of Optica and a Senior Member of IEEE/IEEE Photonic Society. He is now serving as the Associate Editors serves for Photonics Research, IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, and served as the Guest Editor for IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Quantum Electronics focus issue of “Hybrid Integration for Silicon Photonics”. He also services as the Technical Committee Chair / Co-Chair / Member for various international conferences. Dr. Luo has authored/co-authored more than 200 peer-reviewed journal and conferences papers, 5 book chapters, and holds 16 US/Singapore/Chinese granted patents, and more than 10 patent applications.
Martin Vallo, PhD

Martin Vallo, PhD is Senior Technology & Market Analyst, Photonics at Yole Group.
He is specialized in optical communication and semiconductor lasers within the Photonics & Sensing activities at Yole Group. With 12 years’ experience within semiconductor technology, Martin is involved today in the development of technology & market products as well as the production of custom consulting projects.
Prior his mission at Yole Group, he worked at CEA (Grenoble, France), with a mission focused on the epitaxial growth of InGaN/GaN core-shell nanowire LEDs by MOCVD and their characterization for highly flexible photonic devices.
Martin graduated from Academy of Sciences, Institute of Electrical Engineering (Slovakia) with an engineering degree in III-nitride semiconductors.
Ali Jaffal, Ph.D.

Ali Jaffal, Ph.D. is Technology & Market Analyst, Semiconductor Substrates & Materials at Yole Group.
He is deeply engaged in the development of a dedicated collection of compound semiconductor market & technology products.
Ali previously worked at CEA-Leti (France) as a research engineer. His mission was focused on the design, growth, and clean room processing of GaAs semiconductor nanowires for Visible-Infrared photodetectors. During his Ph.D., Ali investigated the epitaxy (MBE) of InP nanowires-quantum dots dedicated to telecom applications.
Ali (co-)authored numerous scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and a patent on III-V nanowires at CEA-Leti. He also delivered several presentations and was invited to numerous seminars at national and international conferences.
Ali Jaffal obtained his master’s degree and Ph.D. in material science and optics from INSA (Lyon, France).
Zine Bouhamri, PhD

Zine Bouhamri, PhD is Activity Manager, Imaging & Display at Yole Group.
He is managing the expansion of the technical expertise and the market know-how of the company.
In addition, he actively assists and supports the development of dedicated imaging and display collection of market & technology products, as well as custom consulting projects.
Prior to Yole Group, Zine oversaw numerous R&D programs at Aledia. During more than three years, he developed strong technical expertise as well as a detailed understanding of the display industry.
Zine Bouhamri holds an Electronics Engineering Degree from the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble (FR), one from the Politecnico di Torino (IT), and a PhD in RF & Optoelectronics from Grenoble University (FR).
