ANALYST THURSDAY 2024 : Navigating the ADAS Landscape: From Autonomy to Centralization
The evolving ADAS market, focusing on centralization trends, Chinese competition, and technological advances in sensors and computing
During this webinar, Yole Group’s analysts will discuss various ADAS topics, starting with the evolution of autonomous driving. The dynamics of the ADAS market can be summarized in one word: centralization.
The proliferation of cameras, radars, and LiDARs is forcing OEMs to streamline their architecture and, consequently, reassess their ADAS computing platforms. Historically, the ADAS market was dominated by global players, OEMs, and Tier-1 suppliers. However, Chinese companies have made significant strides, particularly in their domestic market.
After examining the evolution of autonomy levels and associated sensors, we will delve into how recent trends, regulations, and market dynamics are influencing the development of cameras, radars, LiDAR, and ADAS domain controllers. Finally, we will present market data for sensing and computing components.
The Analyst Thursday Webinar will highlight:
- Overview of autonomy levels and market dynamics
- Development of the supply chain
- Evolution of car’s electrical architecture from distributed to centralization
- Impact of centralization on computing requirements and the emergence of chiplets for data fusion
- Physical analysis and comparison of camera and ADAS domain controllers
- Evolution of sensor configuration (8MP camera, 4D and Imaging Radar, LiDAR)
- How AEB regulations could drive the development of thermal cameras
ADAS advancements drive semiconductor demand and will generate more than $20B in revenue by 2029, fueled by tech innovation and competition.
