Nokia purchases Elenion for silicon photonics tech

· Nokia (NOK) acquires the silicon photonics technology company for undisclosed terms.

· Nokia says Elenion’s design platform will reduce product costs by simplifying and scaling the optical supply chain.

· The acquisition of the key tech and commercial assets will also broaden Nokia’s TAM, according to the company.

· The deal is expected to close in Q1.

· NOK shares are down 0.9% pre-market to $4.21.
