AEG power solutions has been awarded to provide AC and DC UPS redundant systems to secure power supply for the green hydrogen production and renewable energy storage platform at crosswind’s hollandse kust noord offshore wind farm in the Netherlands.

AEG Power Solutions has been awarded to provide AC and DC UPS redundant systems to secure power supply for the green hydrogen production and renewable energy storage platform at CrossWind’s Hollandse Kust Noord offshore wind farm in the Netherlands.

Being developed by CrossWind, a joint venture between Shell and Eneco, Hollandse Kust Noord is located 18.5 km off the Dutch coast. The so-called ‘Baseload Power Hub’ will be fully integrated into the wind farm and will convert excess wind energy to green hydrogen using an electrolyser and store it as green hydrogen. This can then be converted to electricity when required via a fuel cell.

Rosetti Marino has chosen AEG Power Solutions to provide the stable power supply for the Base Load Power Hub (BLPH) platform, consisting of AC and DC UPS systems with related back-up batteries.

Rosetti Marino selected the AEG Power Solutions’ Protect 8 UPS and Protect RCS battery charger which have proven track records in securing power for critical applications in harsh environments. AEG Power Solutions, through the Italian affiliate 3W Power S.p.A., provided its power supply expertise to Rosetti Marino during the technical project analysis and clarification, helping to finalize the project.
