Altice group and LEIA announce strategic partnership to bring 3D holographic smartphone to consumer

Altice N.V., a worldwide telecom and media group, and LEIA, a technology spin-off of HP Labs and provider of the leading holographic display solution for mobile, announced they will partner up to bring the first holographic handsets to the European market before the end of 2017.

This strategic partnership combines LEIA’s Holographic RealityTM technology platform and Altice’s content and media ecosystem to provide its customers with an entirely new digital experience via the sharing of 3D selfies, holographic video communication, interactive games and a host of other special apps. Altice is committed to deliver the most compelling new generation experience to customers. With Altice Labs and its 1000 engineers in R&D leading the innovation agenda for the Group, and related new projects and start up ecosystem, Altice will bring the most cutting-edge technology to consumers. LEIA leverages recent breakthroughs in Nano-Photonic design and manufacturing to provide a complete Holographic display platform through the use of special hardware and complementary software.
