Bosch explores strategic options for its Akustica MEMS microphone business

Bosch, the global supplier for MEMS sensors, will explore options for the Akustica, MEMS microphone business. No other Bosch MEMS entities are included in this market exploration. Based in Pittsburgh, Akustica designs, develops and markets MEMS microphones products and solutions for consumer electronics devices and IoT applications. The company was acquired by Bosch in 2009. Bosch then combined its expertise in high quality MEMS design and processing to create industry leading, proprietary MEMS microphones. Akustica provides complete, inhouse system design expertise operating through a global footprint.
