One of these displays is the 4-inch 320×180 microLED prototype you see above. The active-matrix display is produced on an IGZO backplane.

Earlier this year CSOT announced a joint-venture with Sanan-IC to develop micro LED materials and production processes and equipment. The two companies will invest a total of $43 million USD in the new venture, with CSoT holding 55%.
Last year CSoT demonstrated a 3.3″ transparent microLED display, developed in collaboration with PlayNitride. TCL’s TSoT is also developing large-format tiled microLED TVs.
