Yole Development said that NAND and DRAM sales were about $160 B in 2018, growing by 32% between 2016 and 2018. The oversupply that began in the second half of 2018 led to significant price declines through Q1 2019. Yole projects that DRAM prices will decline by about 40% this year and not increase again until 2020. Some NAND SSD prices are approaching $0.10/GB, but Yole projects a possibly tighter NAND market in 2H19, which should stabilize prices.
